One of the ways Kingston Community Radio seeks support for its daily operations is from underwriting support. We ask community businesses, organizations and individuals to help KCR offset its costs by supporting the broadcast operations with a cash contribution. In exchange for a contribution KCR would identify a half hour program segment as being underwritten by the contributor with two 20-30 second announcements, one at the beginning and the other at the end of the half hour. Underwriters also receive a link to their business on the mykcr.org home page.
$500 Underwriting Grant/Contribution
The underwriter receives three half hours a week for four weeks for a total of 20 half hours. The underwriter’s message is a 20-30 second announcement before and after each half hour programming block. This announcement would include a description of the contributing organization’s products and/or services along with a phone number or website address.
$250 Underwriting Grant/Contribution
The underwriter receives 10 half hours underwriting segments in a month. The underwriter’s message is a 20-30 second announcement before and after each half hour programming block. This announcement would include a description of the contributing organization’s products and/or services along with a phone number or website address.
